Nudes in Harmony

There are myriad ways to paint the nude. From the lissome rendering of Boticelli’s “Birth of Venus” to the wildly geometric Picasso’s “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon”. Gilbert Marosi illustrates a radical approach to painting the nude. Most nude artists are slaves to rendering a reasonably accurate representation of their subject. Marosi’s intent is to emphasize a three dimensonial approach. As an illustration, take the painting “Faraway” The clashing color field scream tension, yearning, hope, despair. “Faraway” exudes sexual, animal desire. The abstract background cuts into the nude as if it was a living entity.
Another collection along that vein is Lovelies a la deconstruct. Marosi has spent years painting abstracts. According to Marosi “This demands a skill totally unrelated to that of the figurative artist who is essentially in a cage.” To paint an accurate figure the artist must be finely attuned to all the fine nuances of the flesh. To paint an abstract one must be wild, uninhibited. The artist must be able to slash his way through a painting, close his eyes and let go. The result will be apparent if it is good, and if not, the artist must dance, weave, slither through the painting until it, as a living entity, tells the artist it is done.
In the painting “Lost in space,” the nude almost steps out of the canvas. On the other hand, the painting “Back nude”, paint strokes vary from hot to cold, thereby portraying the ambivalence of the master woman. The abrupt color changes through the painting represent a symphony of human desires.

Draw Nude Women - If you want to draw nude bodies, especially the nude women, you should have some prior knowledge of pencil drawing, lining and shading work. It would help making your nude drawings more realistic and more pleasurable to the eyes of art lovers. First important aspect is that on seeing the drawing from a distance, the viewer should be able to see the perfect organization of the whole drawing. The viewers must have the clear idea about the aspects you have depicted, namely the position of body of the nude woman, the shape and proportion of the nude model’s different limbs.
In your figurative drawing one should not fail to mark the different aspects of your artwork that you have done by applying your labour and skill. If care is taken, the softness of the tip of the artist’s pencil would clearly be visible, creating the form of the sleeping, standing, or sitting nude figure.
While drawing figure, the drawing of the surrounding articles, too, play a great role in making the art piece valuable. These features may be the shading of drapery and the darkness of the walls, which give more highlighting to the figure drawn. While looking at the position of the naked figure or at the shading of the other articles, the viewer should realise that the artist has maintained excellence of his or her artistic perfection. It goes without saying that while detailing the nude bodies, of males or females, as an artist you will have to take care in uniting all the limbs of the body into one unit and creating an enjoyable output.

“Sexual Explosion,” Jim Warren’s mystical but controversial nude painting, once banned in the United States from public exhibition in the 1970′s for being “obscene and sexually explicit,” is now named the Most Famous Nude Painting in Modern Contemporary Art since the renowned nudes of the Latin European masters Picasso, Dali and Modigliani, who dominated that art market. According to documented evidence that has surfaced from extensive research conducted on behalf of Art Collectors Website (http://www.artcollectorswebsite.com), a leading online art gallery, “Sexual Explosion” now ranks as today’s Most Famous Nude Artwork by a Living Painter.
Interestingly, another Jim Warren original nude painting “Re-Birth,” has also achieved world-wide viewing attention and status along with “Benefits Supervisor Sleeping,” painted by another living artist, Lucien Freud from Britain. Surrealist Jim Warren, born near Hollywood, California in 1946, is recognized for his nudes and horse images, especially among entertainment celebrities from the film and music industry in Hollywood, where he is widely collected. However, Warren attained international fame in 1981 by winning the Grammy Award for the cover art of the “Against the Wind” album by Bob Seger which to date has sold over 6,000,000 copies, thus making his iconic artwork the Most Famous Horse image in Modern Contemporary Art. The original painting for “Against the Wind” is currently in the permanent Art Collection of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.
However, the Jim Warren original prototype for the “Against the Wind” painting, entitled “Running Wild,” which has been renowned in its own right for decades for its fabled wild horses, has been viewed on the Art Collectors Website by special invitation along with a youtube art video entitled “Running Wild World-Famous Horse Icon Painting by Jim Warren – Prototype for Against the Wind.” The artwork is currently in a private collection and has never been exhibited publicly.

Indeed, the “Sexual Explosion” phenomena has been influencing a whole new generation of surreal artists portraying the nude image in Contemporary Modern Art. Because of its daring visual seduction and liberating mystical imagery, “Sexual Explosion” has continued to attract respect in spite of the fact that the painting has never been exhibited in public, or re-produced in limited edition art prints and has been sequestered in an unknown private art collection for decades — veiled in mystery.

Apparently, it surrounds the season-3 opener which the vampire star said had him literally naked for almost 2 days of production. Ian told EW that as he was getting ready to shoot the first scene which starts with a reaction shot of Nina — ya know, from Elena seeing a completely nude Damon — the first assistant director suggested that he head on down to the prop department. The star of The Vampire Diaries went on to describe how the team used double-stick tape to attach newly-made elephant ears to his inner thighs to seemingly create an elephant with Ian’s body. Use your imagination, people! Apparently, Nina’s real-life reaction was a very natural “OMG” and Ian said that he hopes and prays that they use that initial expression in the episode final cut.
