Beram founded HIV and Single seven years ago after an immediate family member was diagnosed HIV positive. This family member told him that since being diagnosed it was very hard to meet people and she felt alone. This was his inspiration to build the site. Beram claims this family member has since met and fallen in love with someone she met on the site.
